What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is defined as constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movements. CrossFit is a fitness program centered on the idea that each exercise we do in the gym translates to everyday movements and to a better life outside the gym. When you come to CrossFit Sunnyside you will lift, run, row, jump, pull, push, throw, climb and anything else we can think of. We combine all of these movements into structured high-intensity workouts.

We do CrossFit to improve the quality of our lives. Whether it’s a Saturday afternoon bike ride, playing with your kids, or carrying groceries, being functionally fit makes life more enjoyable. Everyone, from world-class athletes to the elderly, benefits from being fit.

CrossFit workouts are scalable making it an option for everyone. Whether you are a conditioned athlete or have not worked out for a while, every workout can be adjusted to your fitness level. As you become stronger, faster and generally more capable, the workouts are scaled accordingly to keep them challenging. Our program delivers a fitness that is, by design, broad, general, and inclusive; our specialty is not specializing. CrossFit is for everybody.

Each days workout is different and consists of constantly varied functional movements. This keeps training enjoyable and well-rounded – you’ll never get bored!

Our program delivers a fitness that is broad, general, and inclusive. This means you’ll learn a wide range of achievable, functional fitness movements.

High Intensity

Classes are 60 minutes long and designed to increase strength and fitness fast. Each class consists of a warm-up, skills practice, work out of the day (WOD) and cool down.

Group Training

Our training style is different to traditional gyms. We combine fitness with a community. We’re one big happy family that train and socialize together.

Quality Coaching

All our coaches are professionally trained and our classes are capped at 16 people to ensure that you always get a premium CrossFit experience.

Gold Package

During group CrossFit classes, you’ll push yourself and sweat it out with like-minded individuals, as you compete with yourself (and others, if you choose) for rounds, time, points, glory, emotional satisfaction, and spiritual growth. You will reach new physical and emotional levels you didn’t think were possible, and you will undoubtedly find yourself with a new social and support network, who will help you on your continued path to greater health and happiness.

Platinum Package

Constantly varied functional movement performed at high intensity. The best workout you’ll ever have! Classes combine elements of cardio, strength, gymnastics, agility, balance, & more. For those who want to improve upon strength and increasing proficiency in the Olympic style lifts, Barbell Club classes are included in this membership. Unlimited CrossFit classes each month, and free access to Barbell Club and Open Floor.
